Before you file a warranty claim, gather the following documents. Incomplete submissions will delay the process — having everything ready speeds things up significantly.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Proof of purchase receipt — your original invoice from Expedia Parts
- Original installation invoice from a Licensed Automotive Repair Facility (LARF) — must be from a licensed, certified shop
- ASE-certified diagnostic report, which must include:
- Date of the inspection
- VIN number
- Year, make, and model of the vehicle
- Current mileage
- Diagnostic trouble codes
- Parts identified as needed for repair
- All maintenance records for the installed part — complete service history since installation
- Receipts for all maintenance performed — cash receipts are not accepted; all records must be from authorized service centers
IMPORTANT NOTES
- No handwritten records accepted — all documentation must come from authorized service centers with proper invoicing.
- Purchasers cannot perform their own maintenance for warranty purposes — self-performed services will not count toward your maintenance record.
- For used engine and used transmission claims: all documentation must be submitted within 5 business days of initiating the claim. This deadline is firm with no exceptions.
Start organizing these records from the day your part is installed — it makes the process much smoother if you ever need to use your warranty.
