What Is a Core Charge?
A core charge is a refundable deposit added to your order when purchasing a remanufactured engine or transmission. It's held to ensure your old (worn) part is returned so it can be rebuilt again — that's how the remanufacturing cycle works and how we're able to offer high-quality remanufactured parts.
Is It Refundable?
Yes — the core deposit is fully refundable when you:
- Return your old part within 30 days of receiving your new one
- Return the core in complete, rebuildable condition
Once the core is received and inspected at the remanufacturing facility, your full deposit is refunded to your original payment method within 3–5 business days.
