What documents do I need to file a warranty claim?
Text size

Before you file a warranty claim, gather the following documents. Incomplete submissions will delay the process — having everything ready speeds things up significantly.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Proof of purchase receipt — your original invoice from Expedia Parts
  • Original installation invoice from a Licensed Automotive Repair Facility (LARF) — must be from a licensed, certified shop
  • ASE-certified diagnostic report, which must include:
  • Date of the inspection
  • VIN number
  • Year, make, and model of the vehicle
  • Current mileage
  • Diagnostic trouble codes
  • Parts identified as needed for repair
  • All maintenance records for the installed part — complete service history since installation
  • Receipts for all maintenance performed — cash receipts are not accepted; all records must be from authorized service centers

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • No handwritten records accepted — all documentation must come from authorized service centers with proper invoicing.
  • Purchasers cannot perform their own maintenance for warranty purposes — self-performed services will not count toward your maintenance record.
  • For used engine and used transmission claims: all documentation must be submitted within 5 business days of initiating the claim. This deadline is firm with no exceptions.

Start organizing these records from the day your part is installed — it makes the process much smoother if you ever need to use your warranty.
